One of my good friends is studying up in Burlington, VT, so after a necessary pit stop at Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, we took a day trip out to Montreal. Last time I was there, there was a blizzard pounding the city, so it's a change to be able to enjoy the sights downtown!

I've made a summer resolution: Go on more day trips. From Montauk to the Catskills, there's so much to see that I've started to make a list. Plus, I like the sense of discovering a hidden corner tucked away from New York City, and away from even the better known places, like the Hamptons.
